Tableau vs Google Data Studio: Advice from Power User
In this story, we would be diving into two of the reporting/data visualization tools namely Tableau and Google Data Studio. Both tools have their advantages and disadvantages which I would be covering in this article.
During my masters, I had worked on Tableau and PowerBI for my various curriculum projects but at my work, I have been using Google’s Data Studio for quite a while now! Thus, I think I would be able to deep dive and analyze both of these tools.
Tableau
So Tableau is kind of the most common and popular data visualization tool because of the ease you are able to import your data into it and start building visualizations and dashboards.
The company has diversified a lot in the past few years and now provides a variety of products:
