Product management and product marketing are two distinct but closely related roles that are often found in technology companies. While both roles involve working with products, they have different focus areas and responsibilities.
Product management is responsible for the development and lifecycle of a product. This includes defining the features and requirements of the product, working with cross-functional teams to bring the product to market, and managing the product once it is launched. Product managers are responsible for the strategic direction of the product and ensuring that it meets the needs of the target market. They work closely with engineering, design, and sales teams to ensure that the product is delivered on time and to the required specifications.
