Why certifications don't help much for a Product Management role?
In this last story for this year, I am going to touch on the topic of certifications in the product management field.. In other fields certifications carry a lot of value, be it Project Management or some AWS cloud certifications.
But lets talk about Product Management.. doing certifications help in grabbing jobs?

After the COVID19 pandemic, world became online and all tech professionals started getting certifications due to the fact that everyone was feared of layoff and everyone wanted to upskill themselves.
And now since there are tons of certifications that have popped up in recently 2–3 years , companies are looking for more practical skills rather than just certifications.
A certification program may provide you with the necessary knowledge and frameworks/models/tools that can help in your role as PM. But only your application and learning from applying this knowledge and frameworks to everyday situations that you face as a PM will be valuable in the long run.
For a Product Manager, more than a certificate, they need to have hands on experience in all facets of Product Management, like user survey…
